Roles: Lead Writer & Game Designer Tools: Unreal Engine 5 & P4V

Team: 6 core devs, 30+ Contributors

Timeline: April 2024 – June 2025

Lead Writer

Wrote and cut down from 56 to 26 pages of dialogue in screen play format to meet scope—preserving narrative clarity, core theme, and character identity.

Thought Process

In this project I started by writing top down. This means I started with the world, theme, and structure AND THEN went into finer details such as characters and scenes. I did this because for a horror-game I think the environment is more important to set that spooky mood, the character themselves are simply reacting to the world around them. This resulted in a dystopian world where everything is cute and perfect, but under the surface you learn that the perfect world you live in is a Human Farm in disguise.

After writing out the world I wrote the characters and character sheets explaining their personality, motivations, and fears/flaws. With everything written and in place, I simply had to structure the story which resulted in a cool blend of two timelines (Past and Present) in the form of playable flash backs. This resulted in a cool mystery you could play through, where you learn more about your own character, their relations to other characters, as well as getting to know the world they live in.

Game Designer

Maintained a living GDD, game whiteboard, and 4 character sheets throughout development.

Designed and implemented chase sequences, environmental blockades, and player objectives to craft an immersive and suspenseful horror experience Scripted scenes into gameplay in-engine (Unreal 5.3) using blueprints and sub-levels.
